In July I took my youngest daughter, Emmy, to her first Rider game.
It was a fun experience. From the pre-game festivities, the warmup, the team’s big entrance and two punt return touchdowns by the Riders, Emmy came away with some fun memories.
But the (almost) best part was when Mason Fine’s Hail Mary on 3rd down was miraculously caught by receiver Tevin Jones for a touchdown, to take the lead with 40 seconds left.
Unfortunately the Riders couldn’t seal the deal as the Stampeders drove for a field goal to win as time expired.
I love the drama of back and forth games that are decided in the final seconds.
